was at the Little Caesars pizza store in Keswick on Friday,
November 8th between 10-11 p.m. There were four
Georgina Ice boys dressed in suits and had just come from
their hockey game. While I waited for my pizza they
participated in small talk amongst themselves including the
Leafs hockey game that was being televised on the
restaurant's television. I asked them if they had won
their game and they said they had 3-1 against
Clarington. I was in the restaurant about 10-15
minutes and when they left they thanked the girl at the
counter and said goodnight to me. I must say having a
son that grew up in Keswick and played hockey at the AA
level I am fully aware of the negative reputation that
hockey has had in our community for a number of years.
I was overwhelmed with the politeness, grace and
professionalism these young boys displayed and mentioned
this to my husband on the car ride home. I am very
proud of these young men as they made me proud for them to
represent our community.
wanted to forward this to you as I know it is usually the
bad comments from parents, visitors, etc. what we tend to
hear mostly. Please extend my gratitude to your
players and coaching staff.
